Privacy Policy

This page describes exactly what data Wayne's GoldCore ("the Software") sends off your PC, why, and to where, compiled directly from the Software's own source code rather than written generically, so it reflects what the app actually does. This Agreement is provided by WGC Performance Systems, a trading name of Wayne Eaton ("the Developer", "we", "us", "our"), a sole trader operating in England, United Kingdom, contactable at support@tweakmygame.com.
1. Our Approach
The Software is a Windows performance-tweaking utility, not an advertising or analytics product. We collect the minimum needed to run the licensing/support systems described below, we do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not run any general-purpose analytics or usage tracking. Most of what the Software does (scanning your hardware, applying tweaks, monitoring performance) happens entirely on your PC and is never transmitted anywhere.
2. Data Sent Automatically (No Action Required From You)
2.1 Licence Validation
If you've activated a PRO licence, the Software periodically confirms it
with our licensing server (a Cloudflare Worker at
api.tweakmygame.com) by sending
your licence key and a device identifier derived from your Windows
installation (the registry MachineGuid, falling back to your
PC's device name if that's unavailable). This is how we enforce
per-purchase device limits and detect a licence that's been revoked.
This check happens when the Software starts and when you open Settings,
never on a repeating timer, and never while you're actively in a game.
2.2 Automatic Crash Reports
If the Software crashes or hits a critical internal error, a minimal report is sent automatically so we can fix it: your Windows version, whether you're running 64-bit Windows, whether the Software was running with administrator rights, and a one-way hashed device fingerprint (derived from the same device identifier used for licence validation, but irreversibly hashed first). That hash can't be turned back into your real device identifier or used to identify your PC on its own; it only lets us tell whether several crash reports came from the same installation, so we can tell "one person hit this fifty times" apart from "fifty different people each hit this once." If you have an active PRO licence, the report also includes your licence key so we can attribute it to you in our own internal beta- testing records; the key itself is never stored or kept anywhere, only looked up and discarded on receipt, so nothing beyond that internal attribution is retained. No raw hardware identifiers, no file paths, no usernames. Where relevant, the specific error message and a stack trace (the sequence of code that led to the failure) are included, since that's what actually lets us diagnose the problem; these do not deliberately include personal information, though we can't guarantee an error message from Windows itself never incidentally contains something machine-specific.
2.3 Update Checks
The Software periodically checks our server for whether a newer version is available, sending only your currently installed version number.
3. Data You Choose to Send
3.1 Manual Bug Reports
The Support page lets you describe a problem in your own words and send it directly to us, along with the same minimal profile described in 2.2. You can optionally attach a short screen recording (up to 15 seconds) or voice note (up to 30 seconds) that you explicitly choose to record. Nothing is captured unless you click the record button yourself.
3.2 Wayne Bot / ARIA AI Assistant
If you provide your own Anthropic API key and ask the AI Assistant a
question it can't answer from its built-in keyword responses, your
question and a general summary of your hardware (CPU/GPU model, RAM
amount, storage type, laptop-or-desktop, and whether the Software is
running elevated) are sent to Anthropic's API
(api.anthropic.com) using your own key, so that usage is
billed to your own Anthropic account, not tracked or paid for by us. No
process list, game list, file paths, or usernames are included. This
only happens when you actively ask a question the built-in keyword
matching can't handle, and only if you've entered an API key.
3.3 Game Chat & Voice
Game Chat/Voice rooms are end-to-end encrypted, our relay server only ever sees ciphertext, never your messages or voice audio in readable form. By default, your chat display name is your Windows account name; you can change this to anything you like before joining a room, and we recommend doing so if your Windows account name is your real name.
3.4 Discord Webhooks You Configure Yourself
Features like League Organizer announcements and Game Launch notifications can post to a Discord webhook URL, but only one you supply yourself, pointing at your own Discord server. We never see this traffic; it goes directly from your PC to the Discord webhook URL you configured.
4. Data That Stays on Your PC
Your settings, tweak history, session history, game library scan
results, and everything else the Software remembers between launches is
stored locally in %APPDATA%\WaynesGoldCore\ on your own
machine. None of this is transmitted to us except where explicitly
described above (e.g. as part of a bug report you choose to send).
5. Device Identifiers
We use your Windows MachineGuid (or PC name as a fallback)
solely to enforce licence device limits; it is not used to build an
advertising profile, and we do not combine it with any other data source
to identify you personally.
6. Third Parties
We use the following third-party services, each only for the purpose described:
- Cloudflare: hosts our licensing/update/bug-report backend and this website.
- Anthropic: powers the optional AI Assistant, only when you've supplied your own API key (see 3.2).
- Discord: receives bug reports we forward internally, and any webhooks you configure yourself (see 3.4).
- [PAYMENT PROCESSOR, e.g. Paddle/Lemon Squeezy]: handles PRO purchases as merchant of record; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Licence records are kept for as long as needed to support your purchase. Crash/bug reports are kept for as long as reasonably needed to diagnose and fix issues. To request deletion of data we hold about you, contact support@tweakmygame.com. Since licence keys aren't tied to an account or email by default, please include your licence key so we can locate your record.
8. Your Rights
If you're in the UK/EEA, you have rights under UK/EU data protection law including access, correction, deletion, and objection to processing of your personal data. Contact support@tweakmygame.com to exercise any of these.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Software changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
